Speaking shortly after casting his vote at Unit 6, Ward 4, Emure-Ekiti, Engr. Ajayi commended the electorate for their patriotic zeal, describing the large turnout as evidence of Nigeria’s maturing democracy.

“You can see for yourselves how people trooped out to participate in this election. Not only trooping out but being ready and anxious to participate in the voting. I am indeed impressed with this conduct of our voters,” he stated.

The APC stalwart also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for their impartiality and professionalism, noting that the peaceful atmosphere across the state was a testament to their preparedness.

“So far the unit is peaceful, people turned out massively, security operatives are on ground and BVAS is working well. They really prepared for this election. You can see that nobody is being intimidated and I believe if we continue like this, this election may turn out to be the best in Ekiti history,” Ajayi added.

When pressed on the election’s outcome, Engr. Ajayi was unequivocal:

“Governor Oyebanji is not only winning this election, it is going to be with a wide margin.”

He attributed the anticipated victory to the governor’s performance, noting that he “has served Ekiti with every fibre in his body and is widely adjudged to have performed excellently well.”

The APC chieftain appealed to all political gladiators to adhere to INEC’s electoral guidelines to maintain the peace that has characterized the process from the start to collation time.
