Agbeyewa: We Are Building More Than a Farm — Niyi Olajide

The Chairman of Cavista Holdings and Agbeyewa Farms, Mr. Niyi Olajide, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to developing Agbeyewa Farms into a modern agricultural hub capable of driving large-scale and sustainable agricultural production.
Olajide stated this during a visit to the farm, where he inspected ongoing operations, reviewed field activities and assessed newly acquired tractors and farm implements deployed to strengthen the company’s mechanisation efforts.
He said Agbeyewa’s vision goes beyond the cultivation of cassava, stressing that the company is being positioned as a productive, efficient and sustainable agricultural enterprise.
“What we are building here is bigger than just farming cassava. We are building an agricultural business that must be productive, efficient and sustainable. The investments we are making in machinery and infrastructure are deliberate, and we expect them to translate into better productivity and stronger results,” he said.
During the visit, the Chairman inspected the farm’s operations and toured various field activities, including the newly acquired 110-horsepower tractors supplied by Zoomline.
He described the investment in mechanised equipment as an important step towards improving productivity, expanding cultivation capacity and enhancing the efficiency of farm operations.
“These tractors are not just equipment. They are investments in our ability to do things faster and cover more hectares. We need to make sure they are properly utilised and maintained,” Olajide noted.
He also urged members of staff to remain committed and disciplined, stressing that the success of the agricultural project would depend on the collective efforts of everyone involved.
“Everyone working here has a role to play. Agriculture is not easy, but if we remain committed, disciplined and focused on the work, we will achieve what we have set out to achieve,” he said.
The Chairman was received by the Managing Director/CEO of Agbeyewa Farms, Mr. Seyi Oska Aiyeleso, alongside the Director of Community Engagement, Alhaji Dauda Lawal; the Senior Manager, People, Mr. Vincent Olajide; and other members of the management team.
Speaking during the visit, Aiyeleso expressed appreciation to the Chairman for his continued investment and support for the development of Agbeyewa Farms.
He said the newly acquired tractors and farm implements would enhance field operations and strengthen the company’s capacity as it expands its cultivation activities.
“We appreciate the Chairman’s continued support and commitment to Agbeyewa. The new tractors and implements will significantly strengthen our field operations and improve our capacity as we continue to expand our cultivation activities,” Aiyeleso said.
The Agbeyewa Farms CEO acknowledged the challenges associated with operating a large-scale agricultural enterprise but expressed confidence in the systems, workforce and operational capacity being developed to meet the company’s targets.
“There are challenges that come with large-scale farming, but we are building the systems, capacity and workforce required to manage those challenges and deliver on our targets,” he said.
