Former Big Brother housemate Kayode Oladele, popularly known as K-Bobo, made this known on Monday during the hike of Ekiti Mountains 8.0 and exploration of the Ugele Cave Shelter Settlement in Ikere Ekiti. The reality TV star said his time in the Big Brother house taught him one crucial lesson—how to control his temper. According to K-Bobo, people will try to provoke you no matter what, but you don’t have to respond to everything.

He admitted that before the show, he used to react instantly when angry, but living with different characters in confinement in the house forced him to master self-control.

Returning to Ekiti after over a decade abroad, K-Bobo said he was stunned by the level of development. Born and bred in Ado Ekiti, where he attended primary and secondary school including Christ School, he left the state in 2013, moved to Lagos, then traveled overseas in 2015. He revealed that his December homecoming after the Big Brother show opened his eyes to new bridges, sports facilities, and youth engagement programs.

He specifically praised the current administration led by Governor Oyebanji for empowering young people, noting that unlike in the past dominated by older officials, Governor Biodun Oyebanji actively includes youth.

Speaking on contributions to support the laudable initiatives of the Governor for the state’s youth,he explained that he just completed a two-day K-Bobo Basketball Camp in Ado Ekiti, with over 100 campers.

He personally cooked for them—a skill he picked up during 70 days in the Big Brother house—and gave them shoes, jerseys, and took them on insightful training sessions both theoretical and practical. He said basketball gave him the opportunity to leave Ekiti for Lagos and then the United States, and he wants the same for Ekiti youth.

He pledged to support the government in every possible way, especially through sports and youth empowerment, insisting that the youth are the leaders of tomorrow.
