As the euphoria of the final mega rally begins to settle, the technical advisor to the Governor on Local Government Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Olabode Stephen Adetunji, has sounded a strategic clarion call, shifting focus from fanfare to the critical work of grassroots mobilization needed to guarantee Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election on Saturday June 20.

Speaking exclusively to JIROLTV amidst the massive gathering in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, Engr. Adetunji, who monitors and evaluates projects across the state, dismissed skeptics who question the significance of crowd sizes, insisting that the turnout was genuine and organic.

“This is not a rental crowd. This is real people from wards, from units, from various local governments that gravitated to Ado today. We know ourselves. This is APC and we are fully on the ground here,” he declared.

Engr. Adetunji attributed the growing wave of support to the governor’s character and inclusive behavior, which he said has drawn even non-partisan voters to the candidate.

“BAO has done the needful. He has done most of the job for us. His character is supposed to work. His behavior has endeared a lot of people to him. We are going to get votes from people that are not even partisans. We are going to get more votes,” he assured.

However, the technical advisor emphasized that the real battle would be won not on social media, but at the polling units. In a passionate charge to the electorate, he urged supporters to move beyond the rally and take ownership of their immediate communities.

“After today, the fanfare has stopped. The real work is for all of us to go to our various local governments. Go to your unit. Start from your unit. Graduate to your ward. Make sure you deliver your unit and deliver your ward,” Engr. Adetunji instructed.

“It is not on social media—that is about 5% of the people that vote. The 95% are there, not on social media. So we have to do network within our unit, then move to our ward. If one of us delivers our unit and we deliver our ward, BAO  has won. Nothing is left.”

In a final rallying cry, he declared that failing to deliver all 177 wards in Ekiti would be unacceptable.

“It will be a colossal failure if we don’t win all our units and all our wards. We have to deliver that to BAO —the 177 wards in Ekiti must be delivered to BAO. The issue of winning is out of it. This is also a way to show the President that we are ready for him from 2027,” Engr. Adetunji concluded.
