In a New Year address, Engr. Olabode Stephen Adetunji, Technical Adviser on Local Government Project Monitoring and Evaluation, has laid down a clear mandate for the year ahead: strengthen local governance, and communities must stand with government initiatives.

Drawing from his extensive expertise in local government administration, Adetunji delivered a dual message aimed at both leadership and citizens.

To the State Governor,Mr.Biodun Oyebanji he commended him for his foresighted ability and political will to make sure the local government thrive,noting that he has done beyond expectations with the massive projects in each Local Government areas which has transformed into economic bouyancy, improved security architecture,massive agricultural revolution and improved healthcare centers to mention a few.

He however urged that sustainable development hinges on empowered local governments.

He thereafter charged the local government administrators to reciprocate these gestures by owning the various initiatives and projects within their communities and make sure the shared prosperity agenda of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji is achieved without sentiments because his mantra is to see indegens and residents alike truly prosperous.

To the residents across the local government areas, Adetunji issued a direct appeal for partnership. He emphasized that government projects in infrastructure, health, and education are designed for public benefit and require community cooperation to succeed. He urged citizens to support, protect, and take ownership of these developments, reminding them that collective vigilance turns plans into enduring progress.

The engineer reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability, and service, pledging to oversee projects that truly improve lives.

As the New Year begins, Adetunji’s message rings clear: progress is a partnership, built from the ground up.
