In a New Year statement highlighting both progress and responsibility, Engr. Bayo Ajayi, a respected engineer and board member of the Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency, commended the state’s ongoing infrastructure transformation while advocating for stronger environmental stewardship.

Ajayi, known for his extensive engineering experience and policy insight, praised the government’s recent approval of new road projects across the state, describing them as vital arteries that will boost connectivity, commerce, and quality of life. He emphasized that such developments reflect a forward-thinking vision for Ekiti’s growth and must be executed with precision, durability, and community benefit in mind.

At the same time, in his capacity on the Environmental Protection Agency board, Ajayi issued a compelling call for sustainable development practices. He stressed that infrastructure advancement must go hand in hand with environmental consciousness—protecting waterways, preserving green spaces, and adhering to eco-friendly standards in all projects.

He urged contractors, government bodies, and citizens to embrace their roles as environmental guardians, ensuring that development does not come at the cost of the state’s natural heritage.
As Ekiti strides into the New Year, Ajayi reaffirmed his commitment to engineering excellence and ecological integrity, advocating for a future where progress and preservation walk together.
