The Technical Adviser to the Governor on Local Government Affairs, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Olabode Adetunji, has described the upcoming June 20 election as a mere walkover, attributing the governor’s impending victory to his character, humility, and developmental strides.

Speaking on Monday during the PBAT/BAO MCA rally in Efon-Alaaye, an elated Adetunji said the governor has already “decimated the opposition” – not by force, but by his natural reconstructive and peace-loving disposition.

“You can see the entirety of Ekiti people – people beyond Ekiti borders. Power strongly flows beyond borders because he is loved. He is a man of humility, naturally reconstructive, he doesn’t want trouble, and that is why things are falling in place for him,” Adetunji stated.

He further noted that even if a third, fourth, or fifth term were possible, the governor would still command overwhelming support. “No governor in the history of this state, no governor in the history of this country, has enjoyed such unity for a second term,” he added.
Adetunji cited two landmark interventions as proof of the governor’s responsive leadership:
He noted a road abandoned for 35 years – where a recent trailer fell completely blocked access, not even allowing okadas to pass – has seen the governor provide an alternative route and begin concrete-to-concrete drainage construction. “As an engineer, I love the way they have started. Once drainage is done perfectly, asphalt becomes a formality. The road will last very long.”
Then a local church with a collapsing roof received the governor’s promise on a Saturday. “By Sunday, the church’s account had been credited,” Adetunji revealed. Additionally, a three-kilometre road from that church through adjoining streets, undertaken in conjunction with Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (M.O.B), is already ongoing with completed drainage.
He concluded that “People naturally love him. People jettison their ambitions to support him. We are proud of him, and sky is the limit. By God’s grace, everything we do today will be directed by his strength of grace.”
He also assured the governor of an overwhelming vote records in the community come June 20 noting aggressive voter sensitization continues unhindered with great enthusiasm from members and residents waiting eagerly to bring back through their votes.
