
Ekiti State Government has commenced the 2024/2025 promotion exercise for all eligible officers in the State Civil Service, reinforcing its commitment to improving workers’ welfare and enhancing productivity across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

The ministerial interviews for eligible officers began across various ministries in November 2025. In continuation of the process, the Senior Management Committee (SMC) will conduct promotion interviews for 764 eligible officers on Grade Level 13 and above between Wednesday, 11th December and Wednesday, 18th December 2025.

Similarly, the Ekiti State Civil Service Commission will proceed with promotion interviews for officers across all cadres from 16th December 2025, following the completion of screening and verification exercises carried out by MDAs.

This includes the review of appraisal forms, documentation, and submission of ministerial briefings to the Commission.
It will be recalled that during the 2025 May Day Celebration at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, Ado-Ekiti, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji commended the resilience, sacrifice and patriotic zeal of the Ekiti State workforce. He acknowledged workers as the backbone of the state’s development, noting their critical role in sustaining governance, service delivery and socio-economic growth.
Governor Oyebanji reiterated that his administration remains committed to maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring fair wages and benefits, and upholding workers’ rights,this he said is in a bid to restore the dignity and pride in the state’s public workforce.
The Governor had earlier approved the immediate commencement of the 2024 and 2025 promotion exercises, assuring that successful officers will receive their promotion letters promptly and without delay.
