The Ekiti State Branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria has returned from Abuja with fresh professional honour after its Chairman, Dr Oyeyemi Kayode-Ojo, was invested with the prestigious Fellowship of the Institute at the just-concluded 58th CIPM International Conference and Exhibition.

The conference, held recently at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference and Exhibition Centre, Abuja, gathered thousands of Human Resource Management professionals, business leaders, policymakers and stakeholders from across Nigeria and beyond under the theme Repositioning for Value and Impact.

Ekiti State Branch members, led by Dr Kayode-Ojo, made a strong showing at the four-day event, which focused on professional development, knowledge exchange, networking and the changing world of work. The branch’s cultural presentation stood out and showcased the rich cultural values of Ekiti State, giving it a unique presence at the gathering.

The high point came during the Fellows Investiture ceremony at the conference Gala and Awards Night, where 67 qualified members, including Dr Kayode-Ojo, were elevated to the Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, FCIPM. The Fellowship is the highest cadre of membership of the Institute and recognises professional achievement, leadership, competence, character and contribution to the advancement of people management.

Dr Kayode-Ojo’s investiture is a major boost for the Ekiti State Branch, which she currently leads as Chairman. Her recognition at the international conference has added distinction to the branch’s participation and reinforced the importance of professional leadership and continuous development in Human Resource Management.

For Ekiti delegates, the conference offered fresh opportunities to gain contemporary knowledge, engage with HR professionals from different sectors, strengthen professional networks and bring home ideas that can drive workplace transformation and people management in Ekiti State.
