The Rector, Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, Dr Sunday Ajeigbe, felicitates Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora and the good people of Ekiti State on Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary and the 30th Anniversary of the creation of Ekiti State.

In a message from the Rector on the occasion, he declared that the celebration is not merely a commemoration of political freedom but a solemn reminder of the sacrifices, resilience and patriotism of the men and women whose courage laid the foundation for the Nigeria inherited today.
He said sixty-six years after independence, the journey of nation-building continues to demand collective commitment to unity, justice, peace, innovation, productivity and sustainable development.
For Ekiti State, he noted, the anniversary carries additional significance as the state marks three decades of creation. Thirty years of Ekiti existence, he said, represent a remarkable journey of growth, resilience, intellectual excellence, cultural preservation and the indomitable spirit of the people.
The Rector said the occasion provides an opportunity to reflect on achievements, acknowledge the challenges that remain and renew collective determination to build an even more prosperous and sustainable future for generations yet unborn.
As an institution committed to technical education, innovation, entrepreneurship and human-capital development, Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, he said, remains resolute in contributing meaningfully to the development of Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.
He said the Polytechnic will continue to nurture a generation of competent, creative and ethically grounded young people who will deploy knowledge and skills to solve societal problems and contribute to economic transformation.
Dr Ajeigbe therefore called on staff, students and the entire Polytechnic community to embrace the ideals that the anniversaries represent, including patriotism, unity, hard work, peaceful coexistence, responsible citizenship and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
He urged them to continue to believe in Nigeria and in Ekiti and to continue to play their respective roles in building institutions and communities that future generations will be proud to inherit. As celebrations continue, he prayed that the Federal Republic of Nigeria will continue to enjoy peace, stability and sustainable development, while Ekiti State continues to advance in prosperity, innovation, education and human development.
He wished Nigeria a happy 66th Independence Anniversary and Ekiti State a happy 30th Anniversary of the Creation of Ekiti State.
He prayed that God will bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ekiti State and Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti.
