EFON ALAAYE 2026: Planning Committee Rolls Out Explosive Four-Day Programme!
Grand Celebration Kicks Off August 20 with Community Service, Unity Cup Finals

The countdown to Efon Alaaye Day 2026 has officially begun, and the Planning Committee is leaving no stone unturned in delivering a spectacular homecoming experience. According to the programme unveiled by Committee Chairman, Mr. Kola Ajumobi, this year’s celebration will blast off on Thursday, August 20, with undergraduate indigenes hitting the streets at 7:00 a.m. for a bob-a-job community service exercise, while the highly anticipated Unity Cup finals will set the Township Stadium ablaze by 4:00 p.m. that same day.

Friday, August 21, promises a rich blend of tradition and glamour as the committee lines up a cultural engagement with traditional worshippers, a solemn Jumat service for spiritual rejuvenation, and a beauty pageant that will showcase the grace and elegance of Efon Alaaye’s finest daughters. The energy will reach its peak on Saturday, August 22, when the grand finale takes over the Efon Township Stadium in what promises to be the mother of all celebrations.
The four-day extravaganza will draw to a close on Sunday, August 23, with a thanksgiving service at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Iloro, where indigenes will offer gratitude for a successful outing. The annual Efon Alaaye Day is not merely about festivities—it is a critical platform where sons and daughters of the soil, both at home and in the diaspora, converge to deliberate on community development and harness their collective networks for the growth and progress of Efon Alaaye. This is the moment to come home, connect, and chart a new course for the ancient town!
