APC Primaries: Opeyemi Bamidele, Fasuyi, Adaramodu Clinch Ekiti Senatorial Tickets

Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, has led the All Progressive Congress (APC) to a clean sweep of its senatorial primary elections, emerging as the candidate for Ekiti Central alongside Senator Cyril Fasuyi (Ekiti North) and Senator Yemi Adaramodu (Ekiti South).

Announcing the results late Monday night in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman of the Primary Election Committee and Chief Returning Officer, Asipa Wasiu Adedoyin, declared Bamidele winner of the Ekiti Central primary after he ran unopposed and secured 29,586 votes.

For Ekiti North, incumbent Senator Cyril Fasuyi held his ground, polling 14,179 votes to defeat former Senator Ayo Arise (4,868 votes) and Engr. Bamisaye Oladipupo (3,694 votes) in a keenly contested race.

In Ekiti South, Senator Yemi Adaramodu won with 12,200 votes, beating former National Assembly member Senator Biodun Olujimi (7,420 votes) and Hon. Bamidele Faparusi (5,502 votes).

Adedoyin praised party members for the peaceful, transparent conduct of the exercise across the three districts, saying it followed all party guidelines.
