NO ROOM FOR LAZY POLITICS – EKITI GOV’S AIDE ADETUNJI CHARGE MEMBERS

...APC LADIES EFON ASSURES LANDSLIDE VICTORY FOR GOV.OYEBANJI

Engr. Olabode Adetunji, Technical Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, says the June 20 gubernatorial election will not be won by mere wishes or empty prayers. He insists that every single member of the All Progressives Congress APC in Efon, across all wards and units, must coordinate their efforts like a machine. The target is clear: a total, landslide victory for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji,he declared.

EKITI STATE GOVERNOR MR BIODUN ABAYOMI OYEBANJI

Adetunji gave the charge on Sunday at his Efon Alaaye country home during a surprise belated birthday visit by the Efon All Progressives Congress APC Ladies. He did not mince words.

Women, he stressed, are the game changers. With their numbers gulping between 65 and 70 percent of any society, election is mathematics. He charged them personally to stand unflinching and turn that number into a political earthquake on election day.

He called the June 20 poll a double jinx breaker. First, it will mark the first time an incumbent governor in Ekiti completes two successive terms. Second, it will be the election where Efon Local Government delivers its biggest winning margin ever for the APC. But Adetunji warned that no amount of zeal or prayer alone can pull this off. What works is coordinated, aggressive sensitization and mobilization driven by one thing only: duly verified, unmutilated Permanent Voter Cards.

ENGE.OLABODE ADETUNJI ADDRESSING HIS GUESTS

The Technical Adviser pointed to over 400 opposition members who recently crossed to the APC during the governor’s visit to the local government. He said the time to harness that numerical advantage is now. History is there for the taking, but only if the party moves from the home, to the wards, to the units, and to the streets. His verdict is blunt: Governor Oyebanji has done well, and he deserves a second term. Continuity of good governance must not be broken.

He mentioned some of the ongoing road constructions within the community to include the 3km road from Imoba to Babalola Junction road, Ita Osun to CAC Oke Ayo road, renovation of the King’s palace amongst others which will improve the economy of residents bringing his shared prosperity agenda for all a reality.

The Efon Alaaye APC Ladies responding, insisted they are not shifting. They described the governor as a true Omoluwabi agenda driver who does not play politics with development projects. They gave the newly completed Erinjiyan-Efon linking road, once a death trap, now a smooth thoroughfare, the renovation of the General Hospital and primary healthcare centers in the local government as proofs. These, they said, are just a fraction of reasons they stand unmoved.

They also hailed the governor’s equal representation mantra. Every local government has qualified sons and daughters in the cabinet. They gave a specific shout-out to their own son, Engr. Olabode Adetunji, who they described as a worthy representative who undermines nobody and backs the community with cash and kind. He is, they said, a passionate and unapologetic BAO advocate. Their promise is simple: June 20 will be a double win.

The surprise visit turned into a carnival with a Traditional drummers group led by Alhaji Ibrahim Salawudin all clad in customized Ankara outfits, dancing and chanting political victory songs. No quotes.Their message was loud and clear: coordination, not chaos, will seal the deal.

Some other educational projects by the state government in Efon Alaaye includes

Construction of a block of classrooms with offices at Nomadic Nursery and Primary school, Alajo Efon.

Renovation of classrooms, ICT building, school library, school hall and building affected by rainstorms to mention a few.
