EkITI WEST ENDORSES HER REPRESENTATIVES FOR HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY POSITIONS

Leaders and stakeholders of Ekiti West Local Government have unanimously endorsed candidates for the Ekiti State House of Assembly ahead of the forthcoming elections, in what has been described as a strong show of unity and commitment to progressive ideals.
The historic meeting, held on April 2 in Erijiyan Ekiti, brought together party leaders, ward executives, grassroots mobilisers, and representatives of the private sector and labour unions from across the local government.

At the gathering, stakeholders endorsed Hon. Johnson Oyekola Bode-Adeoye, popularly known as JOBA, for a third term to represent Ekiti West Constituency II. Participants commended his performance in office, citing his role in attracting developmental projects and his contributions to legislative activities at the state level.

Similarly, Comrade Monsurat Oladipupo was adopted as the consensus candidate for Ekiti West Constituency I. Her endorsement, according to party leaders, followed widespread recognition of her grassroots engagement and dedication to progressive politics.
Speaking at the meeting, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, High Chief Olajide Awe, called for unity and collaboration among lawmakers. He encouraged experienced legislators to mentor newer entrants for effective representation.
The meeting attracted prominent political figures and grassroots leaders, reflecting a broad-based consensus within the local government.
Stakeholders also reaffirmed their support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, expressing confidence in his leadership and optimism about his re-election prospects.
They noted that the endorsements signal the party’s resolve to maintain unity, strengthen internal cohesion, and ensure electoral success in the forthcoming polls, while advancing sustainable development and effective representation for the people of Ekiti West.
