ONISAN HAILS DAWODU’S COMMENDABLE MOVE AS ASPIRANT CLEARS NECO FEES FOR ISAN STUDENTS

... “We Must Lift Burden Off Struggling Families”-Dawodu

In a bold intervention that has drawn widespread acclaim from traditional rulers, parents, and education stakeholders, a frontline House of Representatives aspirant for Ekiti North Federal Constituency I, Engineer Olaoluwa Dawodu, has fully settled the National Examinations Council fees for secondary school students in Isan Ekiti. The gesture, executed amid mounting economic pressures, has been hailed as a timely and decisive act of leadership focused squarely on human capital development.

The Onisan of Isan Ekiti, Oba Ayodele Adejuwon, speaking through the Olori Onisan, gave a resounding commendation, describing the initiative as noble and forward-looking. The monarch stressed that such an investment in education is the surest pathway to sustainable community prosperity, adding that Dawodu’s action goes beyond mere charity to represent a conscious effort to secure the future of the younger generation. He noted that with many families struggling to meet basic educational expenses, the intervention has brought deep relief to parents who were anxious about their children’s academic progress.

Beneficiaries of the sponsorship were effusive in their appreciation, calling Engineer Dawodu a role model whose timely support has renewed their hope and strengthened their resolve to excel. For many of the students, the payment came as a lifeline, removing the uncertainty that had threatened their chances of sitting for the crucial external examination.

Hon. Dawodu, represented by the Director General of his campaign team, Mr. Oluwatosin Ojo, stated clearly the reason for the gesture: to ease the crushing burden on families grappling with harsh economic realities. He explained that the decision was driven by the need to ensure that no willing student is denied the opportunity to sit for a key examination due to financial constraints. Dawodu emphasised that education remains the cornerstone of development, warning that any society that neglects its youth risks undermining its own future.

He reaffirmed that his aspiration to represent Oye and Ikole Local Government Areas is rooted in a genuine desire to deliver people-oriented policies, assuring constituents that his current efforts are but a glimpse of the expanded initiatives in education and youth empowerment he intends to institutionalize through effective representation. Community leaders present at the event echoed this sentiment, noting that the aspirant’s actions have already set a high standard for responsive leadership, while grateful parents expressed relief that the intervention has allowed them to redirect scarce resources to other pressing household needs without derailing their children’s academic journey.
