AJONI LCDA EMPOWERMENT:Technical Advisor Ayo Ojo Hails Council’s Move, Says “Ekiti Youths Are Building The Future, Not Waiting For It”

The Technical Advisor to the Ekiti State Governor on Youth Inclusion, Hon. Ayo Ojo, has hailed a new free digital skills training initiative in Ajoni Local Council Development Area (LCDA), declaring that Ekiti youths are actively building their future, not waiting for it.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony of a major six-month training programme sponsored by the council in partnership with the US-based Skeep Foundation, Hon. Ojo delivered a stirring address on behalf of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

He described the initiative, which leads to globally recognised Google Certifications, as a transformative step that aligns perfectly with the state’s commitment to ensuring no youth is limited by circumstance.

“This programme is concrete proof that we are actively preparing our youths to conquer the digital world,” Ojo stated.

He praised the Ajoni LCDA Chairman, Amb. Prince Michael Ogungbemi, for his visionary leadership and strategic partnership, emphasises that the administration’s pledge is to ensure every youth is seen, heard, and empowered.

Addressing the participants directly, Hon. Ojo said, “You are being trained here not just as learners, but as future innovators, creators, problem-solvers, and wealth generators in the global digital arena. I charge you to dream without fear and use these skills to build a brighter future for yourselves and for Ekiti State.”

Following the advisor’s keynote, the Executive Chairman of Ajoni LCDA, Amb. Prince Michael Ogungbemi, explained that the programme is a critical part of his council’s human capital development agenda. He announced that the council will provide data subsidies and internet support to all participants to ensure seamless and effective learning throughout the training.

“We are investing in your potential. I urge every beneficiary to remain disciplined and focused to fully maximise this rare opportunity,” Chairman Ogungbemi stated.

The Vice Chairman of the council, Prince Babatunde Famoroti, also commended the Chairman’s passion for creating pathways for youths to upgrade their skills.

A participant, Miss Damilola Abe, expressed profound gratitude for the lifetime opportunity, promising that all trainees would take the programme seriously for their personal and professional growth.

The event marks a significant milestone in Ajoni LCDA’s youth-focused agenda, reinforcing its reputation as a forward-thinking council dedicated to empowerment through education and technology.
