Ekiti State Government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Youth Corps members serving in the state. The assurance was given by Mrs. Olawumi Famuyiwa, the Director-General of Civic Orientation and Citizenship Ekiti State (BCOC), during her recent visit to the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Ekiti State, Alhaji Riko Shuaibu, at the Ekiti State Orientation Camp in Ise/Emure/Orun Ekiti.
The primary objective of Mrs. Famuyiwa’s visit was to collaborate with the National Youth Service Corps Ekiti Chapter in sensitizing Corps members on positive values and ethical conduct. The Ekiti State Government, through the BCOC, aims to promote a sense of responsibility and good behavior among the Corps members during their service in the state.
Mrs. Famuyiwa delivered her advocacy message to Alhaji Shuaibu during the official closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch “A” stream 1 Orientation course for Corps members deployed to the Ekiti State Orientation camp. She emphasized the importance of upholding positive values and ethical standards throughout their service.
Expressing his gratitude, the NYSC State Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Shuaibu, thanked the Director-General of BCOC for her visit to the camp, which coincided with the official closing ceremony. He acknowledged the significance of such collaborations and expressed his enthusiasm for future partnerships during the next batch of the orientation course at the campground.
