Ekiti Youth Council Disassociates self from Proposed Protest, Commends Governor Oyebanji’s Youth Initiatives

In a decisive move, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ekiti State Chapter has debunked a sponsored protest flyer circulating on social media, distancing Ekiti youth from any unrest in the state.

The council exonerated Governor Biodun Oyebanji, acknowledging his relentless efforts in youth empowerment and employment across various sectors.

In a statement released by the NYCN Ekiti State Chapter, it was emphasized that the governor has consistently prioritized youth inclusion in government appointments, providing opportunities for young talents to serve and contribute to grassroots development.

The council highlighted the exceptional achievements of Ekiti youth in academics, entrepreneurship, and social spheres, stressing their commitment to constructive engagement with the government for the betterment of the state and the nation.

Addressing concerns over the proposed protest, the NYCN president Amb.James Oluwasegun Bankole reiterated its stance against non-logical demonstrations that could potentially disrupt peace and lead to unwarranted consequences.

Instead, the council affirmed its commitment to ongoing dialogue with the government to address youth-related issues and advance the collective interests of Ekiti youth.

With a resolute call for unity and constructive engagement, the NYCN emphasized the pivotal role of youth in nation-building and urged all stakeholders to prioritize dialogue and collaboration for sustainable development.
