In a rapid deployment by the special forces, a suspected kidnapper was apprehended along the IKERE-Igbara Odo Ekiti axis within less than 12 hours of their arrival in the state.
The operation, based on intelligence, culminated in a gun duel with the suspected kidnappers, leading to the capture of one Salisu Dangani.
Addressing the press at the scene of the apprehension, retired Brigadier Ebenezer Ogundana, Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor on Security Matters, stated that the suspect has been detained for further profiling.

Among the items confiscated from the apprehended suspect are a handset, one long and short fabricated gun, a torchlight, dagger and substances suspected to be charms.
