Ekiti State Governor Ensures Favorable Business Climate as Jara Shopping Mall is Unveiled.

In a resounding affirmation of commitment to bolstering investment and economic growth, Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has offered a robust pledge to investors, assuring them of a thriving business environment within the state. The Governor’s declaration came to the fore on Thursday during the grand opening ceremony of the Jara Shopping Mall, a key feature housed within the Obafemi Awolowo Civic and Convention Centre in Ado Ekiti, the capital of the state.

Represented by his wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, Governor Oyebanji hailed the inauguration of the Jara Shopping Mall as a momentous occasion, signifying a substantial advancement on the path of progress and prosperity charted by his administration. He beckoned forth investors from diverse sectors of the economy to seize the opportunities within Ekiti, underscoring his administration’s penchant for policies that foster investment growth.

The Governor underlined that the Jara Shopping Mall, beyond being a mere architectural achievement, stands as a testimony to Ekiti State’s economic advancement. Its presence not only spurs job creation for the state’s populace but also offers residents a viable avenue to procure goods and commodities previously sought outside the state, at economical prices.

In his words, Governor Oyebanji proclaimed, “The Jara Shopping Mall signifies more than bricks and mortar; it stands as an emblem of Ekiti State’s economic resurgence. As we embark on this new phase of development, we embrace the opportunities it presents for bolstering our local economy, generating employment, and elevating the quality of life for Ekiti residents.”

 

He further implored all stakeholders to uphold a commitment to sustainability and communal progress as the state ventures into this epoch of growth. Governor Oyebanji expressed gratitude towards the dedicated individuals and collaborative community members whose collective efforts ushered in the realization of the Jara Shopping Mall. As the ceremonial ribbon was cut and the mall’s doors flung open, the Governor called for unity, optimism, and unwavering faith in the potential of Ekiti State to take center stage.

Earlier in the proceedings, Mr. Christian Chenut, the General Manager of the Jara Group, shared insights about the company’s three-year presence in the Nigerian market. The Jara Group has established three prior outlets in Ikeja (Lagos), Ibadan, and Benin, with the Ado Ekiti establishment marking its fourth operational location.

Mr. Chenut lauded Jara as Nigeria’s inaugural discount supermarket and retail chain, an enterprise designed by Nigerians specifically to cater to the Nigerian retail landscape. He conveyed appreciation to the Oyebanji Administration for fostering an environment conducive to business growth. Chenut emphasized the premium placed on quality and affordability, a commitment evident in the array of goods and items on offer.

 

The Jara Group has formed strategic alliances with renowned multinationals such as Nestle and Coca-Cola, exemplifying their mission to provide customers with optimal value for their expenditure.

In response, the Head of Operations at the Jara Group, Mr. Olufemi Oke, extended gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for the support rendered in extending the group’s footprint to Ekiti State. Guided by Mr. Chenut, the General Manager, Governor Oyebanji toured the various sections of the mall, even making a purchase to the delight of mall staff, management, and visiting patrons.
