Ajobiewe Engages Transport Unions to Boost Revenue Generation. 

In a concerted effort to amplify revenue streams within Ekiti State and bolster the commendable progress spearheaded by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s administration, the Office of the Commissioner for Transportation convened a pivotal assembly. Headed by Hon.Kehinde Ajobiewe, the Commissioner for Transportation, and accompanied by Hon.Olufemi Aduloju,SSA, Special Duties, Mr. Tai Akomolafe, the Executive Secretary of Ekiti State Traffic Management Agency (EKSTMA), Mr. Oguntuase, Director of Public Transportation, Engr. Ayegbusi, Director of VIO, and a representative from Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service, the gathering forged an essential dialogue with Chairmen, Secretaries of various Transportation Unions, and esteemed stakeholders across the state.

Set against the backdrop of the former traditional rulers council chamber, Old Governor’s office t Ado Ekiti the primary objective of the convocation was to cultivate harmonious ties with the transportation unions and to chart a course towards augmenting revenue generation through collaborative endeavors.

Esteemed representatives from an array of transportation unions, including the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Okada Riders Association, National Association of Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners and Riders (NACT), Tricycle Riders Association, and sundry others, converged at this pivotal juncture.

Central to the discourse were the operational intricacies and fiscal contributions of the unions towards the state’s exchequer.

 

Insights were exchanged, ideas flowed, and a rich tapestry of perspectives was woven in a spirit of mutual progress.

 

The Commissioner Hon. Ajobiewe underscored the paramount importance of unity among these vital stakeholders and underscored the pivotal role they play in advancing the state’s transportation landscape.
