During a courtesy visit by the Chapel to his office in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, the Commissioner assured that his office would collaborate closely with the Online Media Chapel. He highlighted their remarkable achievements in digitalization, distinguishing them within the realm of both conventional and unconventional journalism.

Emphasizing the importance of ethical reporting, Hon. Olatunbosun urged Chapel members to actively contribute towards Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s 6-point agenda. He articulated, “Our expanded Executive Committee is committed to executing Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s agenda. I appeal for your continued support, patronage, and fair reportage. Our actions will remain within the boundaries of professional norms.”

Responding to the Chapel’s requests, he confirmed, “We have reviewed your appeals and will indeed grant you the recognition you deserve. I will earnestly work to address some of the matters raised.”

Comrade Ayodele Abere, Chairman of the Chapel, expressed regret that the Chapel had not received the anticipated recognition for its coverage of government events since Governor Oyebanji’s assumption of office. Abere underscored the Chapel’s pivotal role in shaping the future of journalism, asserting that a partnership with the state government would amplify the coverage of government activities.

As he congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment, Abere conveyed the Chapel’s readiness to collaborate with the government in promoting its policies and initiatives. He pointedly remarked, “Since Governor BAO took office, no member of the Online Media Chapel has been invited to cover government events. We await official recognition at the state level, and aspire to enjoy the same benefits extended to our counterparts.
