Digital Transformation Emphasized as Governor Oyebanji Swears In 14 Permanent Secretaries.

In a momentous ceremony held in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, took the reins to inaugurate 14 new Permanent Secretaries within the state’s civil service. The occasion bore witness to Governor Oyebanji’s resounding call for a paradigm shift in service delivery through the dynamic utilization of technology and digital transformation.

This inauguration follows hot on the heels of a noteworthy event, as Governor Oyebanji recently appointed 19 commissioners and 14 special advisers to enrich the ranks of the state executive council.

 

Extending his warm congratulations, Governor Oyebanji commended the new permanent secretaries for surmounting a rigorous selection process, hailing their selection as a testament to their unwavering dedication and consummate professionalism. He underscored the meticulous merit-based approach of his administration, a policy that consistently identifies and elevates the most exceptional talents from within the state’s labor force.

 

Governor Oyebanji charged the new permanent secretaries with an onerous responsibility, one that entails steering the implementation of policies, resource management, and ensuring the seamless functioning of their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). He stressed the pivotal role they now hold and urged them to align their efforts with the six pillars of his administration’s development program.

 

Urging innovation and a proactive embrace of technology, Governor Oyebanji highlighted the transformative potential of digital tools in enhancing service delivery, elevating efficiency, and fostering transparency.

In his introductory address, Barrister Bamidele Agbede, the Head of Service, lauded the Governor’s commitment to meritocracy, a principle that underpins the appointments of the fourteen new permanent secretaries. The occasion was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Senator Cyril Fasuyi, representing Ekiti North Senatorial District; Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly; Dr. Habibat Adubiaro, Secretary to the State Government; alongside traditional dignitaries and other esteemed government officials.
