AGRIC REVOLUTION CUTS UNREST, SLASHES FOOD PRICES – Engr. Adetunji Hails Gov Oyebanji’s N1Bn Youth Payout
... Says Prosperity-for-All Agenda Now Irreversible, Urges PVC Validation for Continuity of "Life-Changing" Governance

The unprecedented One Billion Naira profit payout to 4,657 young farmers under the “Bring Back the Youth into Agriculture” scheme has been hailed as the masterstroke drastically reducing unemployment and youth unrest in Ekiti State.

The Technical Advisor on Local Government Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Olabode Adetunji, made this declaration on Wednesday in Ado Ekiti after the cheque presentation ceremony in Ado-Ekiti, stating that Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s initiative has directly converted potential social unrest into productive, wealth-creating energy.

“This scheme is a surgical strike against joblessness and youthful agitations,” Engr. Adetunji asserted. “By deliberately engaging over 4,600 youths in profitable agribusiness, the Governor has not only given them a future but has also secured the present peace and stability of our state. The correlation is clear: engaged youth are peaceful youth.”

Adetunji emphasized that the programme’s success has had a tangible, dual impact: empowering individuals and stabilizing society. He further highlighted its crucial role in achieving the administration’s core economic objectives.
“Beyond the cheques, the real victory is in the drastic reduction in the cost of foodstuffs across our markets. This programme is a major pillar of the ‘Prosperity for All’ agenda, and today’s results prove this agenda is no longer a promise—it has come to stay,” he stated.
The Technical Advisor commended Governor Oyebanji for his visionary leadership and, critically, for identifying a capable and credible partner to execute the dream flawlessly.
“I commend the Governor’s foresight and, importantly, his wisdom in partnering with a credible and efficient handler like YSJ Farms Limited, under the excellent leadership of Mrs. Yemisi Joluwe. This public-private synergy is the model that delivers real results,” Adetunji noted.
He charged the Governor not to relent in his transformative efforts and issued a direct call to action to all residents.
“To our workaholic Governor, I say: Do not relent. This is the path. And to every Ekiti resident feeling the impact of this good governance—the lower food prices, the new young entrepreneurs, the renewed hope—I urge you to validate your PVCs,” Adetunji charged.
“Continuity is key. Let us all prepare to validate this success at the polls in 2026 and ensure the continuity of this life-changing, society-building administration under Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.”
