The landmark approval is a direct outcome of a strategic meeting between Governor Oyebanji, the Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, and President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Sunday, November 9th, 2025.The discussion during the visit centered on the pressing issue of the deplorable condition of federal roads within Ekiti State.

This development according to Engr.Adetunji , decisively addresses the public concern and counters misinformation surrounding these key transport routes. It also marks another significant achievement in the productive collaboration between the Tinubu-led Federal Government and the Oyebanji Administration, following the recent award and mobilization of contractors for three other federal roads in the state.

Engr.Adetunji explained further that the new development will compliment the linking roads, township, farmsteads, community and other state roads constructed by the Governor as it will open the state more for transformative activities.

Upon completion, the newly approved roads are projected to dramatically ease travel, enhance interstate connectivity, stimulate commercial activities, and open up Ekiti State to greater economic opportunities, aligning perfectly with the national Renewed Hope Agenda and the state’s Shared Prosperity vision.

However, the Ekiti State Government, on behalf of its citizens, has expressed profound gratitude to President Tinubu for this strategic intervention and his continued support for the state’s developmental aspirations.
