Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has officially accepted the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination to run for a second term, rallying the party with a unifying call of “Let’s go together… let’s win together.”

The declaration formed the cornerstone of his acceptance speech at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion on Monday, following his unanimous ratification as the party’s sole gubernatorial candidate for the 2026 election by 885 delegates. Governor Oyebanji expressed his profound gratitude, dedicating the historic victory to God Almighty.

He extended heartfelt thanks to the party leadership, the delegates, and President Bola Tinubu for their steadfast trust and support. In his address, the Governor hailed the consensus candidacy as an unprecedented milestone that fortifies the party’s stability and paves the way for continued purposeful governance.

Pledging to build upon the foundations of his first term, Governor Oyebanji committed to consolidating the gains of his administration for the greater benefit of all Ekiti State citizens. The event, which concluded the party’s internal selection process, positions Governor Oyebanji as the APC flagbearer heading into the 2026 gubernatorial polls.
