
Governor Biodun Oyebanji officially commissioned the landmark Ekiti Ring Road on Wednesday,heralding a new era of infrastructure and economic innovation for Ekiti State.

The 17.8km road, a first of its kind in the state’s history, will operate as a tolled route, representing a pioneering model for state-funded infrastructure development. The Governor emphasized that the project is a direct result of strategic financial management and a stable federal ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, Governor Oyebanji made a passionate appeal to residents, urging them to make voter registration a top priority. He directly linked the successful completion of the historic road and other projects to the principle of political continuity, stating that sustained development requires a stable and supportive government.
He pleaded with citizens who have completed online registration to immediately visit INEC offices for their biometric capture to ensure they can vote in upcoming elections.

The Governor outlined a sweeping vision of progress, connecting the dots between the state’s first toll road, a massive slate of upcoming projects, and the need for consistent governance.
He positioned the upcoming elections as a critical choice for Ekiti residents to secure a “back-to-back government” that will continue to drive prosperity, peace, and long-term planning for the state.
