Adetunji stated this on Thursday in Ado Ekiti after the State of the State address by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji at the State House of Assembly as parts of activities lined up to celebrate his administration’s 3rd year anniversary.

In a strong show of praise for Ekiti State’s leadership, Hon. Olabode Adetunji lauded Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for what he described as a transformative three-year record of progress. Adetunji noted that the administration’s measured approach has yielded tangible improvements across critical sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and fiscal governance.

He urged continued momentum and stressed the importance of transparency and accountability as Ekiti moves into the next phase of development.

Adetunji frames the past three years as a period of strategic foundations that are enabling more ambitious plans for the future. He highlighted the administration’s emphasis on results-driven governance, prudent budgeting, and a citizen-centric approach that integrates input from communities, civil society, and the private sector.

SOME OF HIS ADMINISTRATION’S ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE EDUCATION SECTOR

In the infrastructure and transportation sector, Adetunji points to accelerated road rehabilitation and new road construction projects designed to improve connectivity between towns and rural communities. He noted investments in drainage and urban renewal efforts aimed at reducing traffic bottlenecks and enhancing safety, along with improved maintenance regimes and quicker response times for public works, all contributing to smoother commerce and daily life.

Education is cited for reforms targeting teacher quality, professional development, and enhanced classroom resources. Upgrades to school facilities are described as creating safer learning environments and improved spaces for learning, complemented by initiatives to boost literacy and numeracy with a focus on inclusive access for disadvantaged pupils.

Regarding healthcare, Adetunji highlighted upgraded health facilities across the state with better equipment and essential medical supplies. He commended strengthened frontline health services, maternal and child health programs, and disease prevention campaigns, as well as the expansion of community outreach and preventive care to reduce hospital burden and improve health outcomes.

On the economy and governance front, Adetunji praised prudent fiscal management, enhanced budget transparency, and more streamlined public service delivery. He mentioned initiatives to attract investment, support small and medium enterprises, and improve job creation, along with strengthened channels for citizen engagement, accountability mechanisms, and performance tracking.

Adetunji emphasized that sustaining and scaling these gains requires ongoing collaboration among government, communities, and stakeholders. He urged continued reforms that reduce bottlenecks, close gaps in service delivery, and ensure benefits reach diverse segments of the population, including rural communities and youths.

The administration has consistently portrayed the three-year mark as a foundation-laying period, setting the stage for more expansive development.
