Nigeria’s Power Chief, Adelabu, Honoured with Prestigious Peace Award
In a ceremony marking the 2025 International Peace Day, the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, was celebrated as a beacon of national harmony. The Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps presented the distinguished Peace Building Award to the Minister, honouring his exceptional and unwavering contributions to fostering peace, unity, and sustainable development across Nigeria.
With the Minister unavoidably absent, the honour was proudly received on his behalf by his aide, Comrade Femi Awogboro, who stood as a proxy for the celebrated official.
Awogboro conveyed Chief Adelabu’s profound gratitude for the recognition, passionately reiterating the Minister’s steadfast commitment to championing initiatives that promote social harmony and drive national progress.
In his acceptance speech, the Minister dedicated the significant accolade to every peace-loving citizen of the nation, emphatically stating that a lasting peace is the essential bedrock upon which Nigeria’s growth and future prosperity must be built.
