...GOV OYEBANJI DECLARES AT 100-HECTARE CASSAVA PROJECT FLAG-OFF

rThe EKiti State Governor Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji represented by the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Honourable Ebenezer Boluwade, has officially declared Ekiti State as a premier destination for agribusiness investments, citing its unparalleled peaceful and investor-friendly environment.

The declaration was made during the flag-off ceremony of a 100-hectare cassava farm in Iyemero, Ikole Local Government Area, ran initiative operated by the Benin Owena River Basin Development Agency (BORBDA) to commemorate 100 days of repositioning under its new leadership, Hon Femi Adekanmbi.

Representing the Governor,Mr.Biodun Oyebanji, at the event,Governor Oyebanji revealed that the BORBDA management team was highly impressed with the conducive atmosphere for agribusiness within the state. He highlighted that the new cassava project is strategically nestled among established agribusiness giants, including Promise Point Ltd, Agbeyewa Farms, Bring Back Our Youths Agriculture Farms, and FMS Farms Ltd, creating a powerful hub for agricultural productivity.


Furthermore, the Governor emphasized the state government’s successful facilitation of major national players, confirming that both the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) and the Oodua Group have now commenced full operations on their respective farmlands in Ekiti.Governor Oyebanji emphasized that such partnership and collaboration with every stakeholder, from federal agencies to private enterprises, are fundamental to achieving sustainable food security for the nation.

He concluded with a powerful affirmation of the state’s commitment, stating unequivocally that Ekiti is open for business.
