NYCN Chairman Amb. Segun Bankole Pays Tribute to Out-gone Ekiti Commissioners

The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ekiti State Chapter, Amb. Segun Bankole, has extended heartfelt commendations to the outgone commissioners and special advisers of Ekiti State, applauding their dedication and impactful service to the state.

In a special tribute, Amb. Bankole particularly recognized Hon. Adesola Gold Adedayo, the immediate past Commissioner for Youth Development, for his outstanding contributions to youth empowerment and conflict resolution within the state’s youth sector.
Amb. Bankole described the dissolution of the cabinet as a significant milestone, urging future leaders to emulate the commitment demonstrated by the outgoing officials.

“Every journey must come to an end, and dissolution marks a moment of reflection,” he stated. “As these distinguished leaders depart, they leave behind legacies that will be remembered for years to come. I pray that God rewards each of them according to their sacrifices for Ekiti State.”
The NYCN Chairman reserved special praise for Hon. Adesola Gold Adedayo, crediting him for restoring stability to the National Youth Council in Ekiti and fostering youth inclusion in governance.
“On behalf of Ekiti youths, I express our deepest gratitude to Hon. Adesola Gold Adedayo for his visionary leadership, unwavering commitment, and enduring impact on youth development,” Amb. Bankole said. “His efforts in conflict resolution and policy implementation have set a standard for future leaders. We wish him greater success ahead.”
Other notable figures honored include: Hon.Adeniyi Dolamu, former Commissioner for Special Duties and Prof. Akeem, Special Adviser on Tertiary Institutions
Amb. Bankole also commended Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his inclusive governance style, which has provided opportunities for young leaders to contribute to state development. He encouraged the governor to sustain this momentum by appointing more competent and integrity-driven youths into key positions.
“History is shaped by today’s actions, and the inclusion of young people in governance remains critical for sustainable development,” he emphasized. “Empowering the youth is synonymous with empowering the entire nation.”
As the outgone commissioners transition from office, their service continues to inspire hope for a brighter future in Ekiti State.
