In a statement released on Monday, Hon. Awe thanked the Governor for the privilege to contribute to the development of Ekiti State, noting that he discharged his duties with dedication and a strong commitment to grassroots progress.

“I am deeply grateful to His Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, for giving me the platform to serve the good people of Ekiti State. It was an honor to work under an administration that prioritizes rural and community development, ensuring that no part of the state is left behind,” he said.

Hon. Awe also commended the Governor’s unwavering dedication to the growth of Ekiti’s communities, particularly through the facilitation of self-help projects across the state. He highlighted how these initiatives have empowered local governments and improved the living standards of residents.

“Governor Oyebanji’s passion for grassroots development is truly commendable. His administration’s support for community-driven projects has brought tangible progress to various towns and villages, reinforcing the people’s trust in his leadership,” he added.

Reacting to the dissolution of the State Executive Council, Hon. Awe described it as a normal administrative process, emphasizing that it presents an opportunity for fresh perspectives in governance. He urged the public to disregard any negative interpretations of the decision, noting that cabinet reshuffles are a standard practice in governance.

“The dissolution is a routine exercise aimed at reinvigorating the system. Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated exceptional leadership by maintaining the largest and longest-serving cabinet in Ekiti’s history, giving his team ample time to deliver on their mandates,” he stated.

Hon. Awe also praised the Governor’s courage in making the decision barely two months before the governorship primary, describing it as a testament to his confidence in the administration’s performance and the people’s support.

While expressing optimism about the future of Ekiti State under Governor Oyebanji’s leadership, Hon. Awe assured that he remains committed to the state’s progress and will continue to support initiatives that foster development at all levels.

He expressed hope that the incoming cabinet members would build on the achievements recorded so far.
