GOV.OYEBANJI UNLEASHES ‘FOOD REVOLUTION’ IN EKITI!
.... N50 Billion Agri-Boom Sparks Massive Harvest

Governor Biodun Oyebanji has taken a massive leap in his battle against hunger, launching two game-changing initiatives designed to slash food prices and secure Ekiti’s future as Nigeria’s food powerhouse. The grand unveiling of the “Ounje Ekiti” Retail Outlet and “Ilu Eye Aggregation Hub” in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday sent a clear message that food scarcity and price hikes will no longer torment Ekiti residents!

In his speech ,Governor Oyebanji revealed that the state has already invested over N50 billion in agribusiness, and the results are undeniable. The Ilu Eye Hub, a state-backed aggregation center, has already stockpiled 750 metric tons of white beans, 239 tons of rice paddy, 101 tons of maize, and 1,716 bags of garri—ALL sourced from local farmers. These will now be sold at rock-bottom prices through the Ounje Ekiti retail outlet, cutting out greedy middlemen eand ensuring families eat affordably all year round.
“This is not a temporary fix—it’s a permanent solution!”Oyebanji declared.”We are turning Ekiti into the nation’s food basket, and no citizen will go hungry under my watch!”

To prevent hoarding and black-market scams, the government has imposed strict purchase limits per household and deployed a real-time Commodity Price Dashboard to monitor market rates.”No more profiteering at the people’s expense!” shouted Agriculture Commissioner Ebenezer Boluwade.”Farmers now have guaranteed buyers, and families will no longer be held hostage by food inflation!”

The event drew a who’s who of Ekiti’s political and economic leaders, including Speaker Adeoye Aribasoye, Finance Commissioner Akintunde Oyebode, and SSG Prof. Habibat Adubiaro.
“This is what shared prosperity looks like!” Oyebode cheered, while market union leaders pledged full support to keep prices low and supplies flowing.
With this bold move, Governor Oyebanji has set the stage for even bigger expansions, with plans to roll out more hubs and retail outlets across the state.”This is just the beginning,” he vowed.”Ekiti will feed itself—and soon, the whole country!”
