In a grand show of solidarity, chieftains and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Wards 8, 9, and 10 in Ayedun Ekiti, Ikole Local Government, stormed out en masse on Wednesday to endorse Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) for a second term in office.
The historic gathering, led by the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Stephen Adeoye Aribasoye, resounded with chants of approval as stakeholders unanimously declared their unwavering support for the continuity of Governor Oyebanji’s transformative leadership.
Speaker Aribasoye, addressing the charged crowd, emphasized that Governor Oyebanji’s administration has brought unprecedented real development to Ekiti State. He cited the massive construction and rehabilitation of township roads, upgrades of primary healthcare facilities, the transformation of Ikole General Hospital into a Federal Medical Center, agricultural revolution initiatives, and women empowerment programs as key reasons behind the resounding endorsement.
Hon. Ayo Ojo, the Technical Advisor on Youth Inclusion, who graced the event alongside his father, Engr.Gabriel Ayo Ojo a founding APC elder state man in Ikole local government hailed Governor Oyebanji’s exceptional performance, declaring that Ekiti made the perfect choice in 2022.
“Governor Biodun Oyebanji has recorded feats that were once alien to Ekiti State,”Ojo stated. “Today, every sector has witnessed tremendous overhaul, with success stories of meaningful impacts that are both deliberate and unbiased.”
He further highlighted his office as a testament to the Governor’s visionary leadership, noting,”Under BAO, youths now have a place to be seen, heard, supported, and valued like never before.”
The electrifying event reinforced the growing consensus across Ekiti State that Governor Oyebanji’s second term is not just desirable but essential for sustaining the ongoing wave of progress.
