Ekiti Youths Embark on Exciting Hiking Adventure

The Technical Advisor Youth Inclusion in Ekiti State Hon.Ayo Ojo on Sunday evening led a handful of youths from different sector of the society on Sunday for the maiden edition of Sunday Evening Hiking Experience (SEHE) held at the renowned La Granita Hotel and Suites in Ado ekiti.

The Sunday Evening Hiking Experience is an initiative that promises to build a community that prioritizes their well-being over burnouts, business, and breakdowns. The event, which drew participants from diverse backgrounds, aimed to foster teamwork, build confidence, and provide a platform for socialization.

Mr. Ayo Ojo,stated in his address before the commencement of the event that “SEHE is a Sunday-only community activity and its purpose for relaxation and appreciation of nature.” He added that in subsequent times, “We will not only go on hiking but dancing and swimming will be brought in.”


He explained that SEHE is not just for hiking, but it’s a ritual, giving the participants time to reflect and reset from the hustling and bustling of the day before launching into the new week.

The hiking program featured a challenging yet scenic trail that tested the participants’ endurance and agility. The youths, armed with determination and enthusiasm, navigated through the rugged terrain, cheering each other on as they climbed to the summit.
The hiking program is part of a broader initiative by the Youth Inclusion Advisor to engage young people in Ekiti State in meaningful activities that promote personal growth and development.
By providing opportunities for youths to develop their skills and build their confidence,Hon.Ojo hopes to empower them to become active contributors to the state’s development, which is one of the pivotal agendas of the Governor of the state Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji.
Hon. Ayo Ojo encouraged Ekiti youths to embrace the opportunity and join a growing community of explorers, dreamers, and feelers every Sunday evening as we trek into nature’s heart. “We are called the ‘Ekiti Exploraz’ for ea reason,” he added.
