NYCN Chairman Bankole Leads Tributes After Sudden Loss of Youth Parliament Deputy Speaker, Damilola AgbaJe

Ekiti State’s youth community has been plunged into mourning following the untimely passing of Rt. Hon. Damilola AgbaJe, Deputy Speaker of the 4th Assembly of the Ekiti Youth Parliament.

Ambassador Segun Bankole, Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ekiti State Chapter, has since issued a profound statement of condolence on behalf of the Council, expressing shock and deep sorrow at the devastating news.

In his message, Chairman Bankole extended the NYCN’s “heartfelt condolences” to the bereaved family, parents, friends, the entire membership of the Ekiti Youth Parliament 4th Assembly, the youth of Oye Local Government, the wider Ekiti youth community, and all citizens of the state.

“The youth of Ekiti collectively mourn the loss of an exceptionally promising young leader,” Bankole stated, reflecting the profound sense of shock reverberating across the state. He lamented the difficulty in comprehending her “premature and sudden departure unto the glorious home.”

Chairman Bankole paid tribute to AgbaJe’s impactful service, declaring, “May her enduring legacy serve as a guiding light, inspiring us to fervently pursue excellence and initiate meaningful transformations within our society.”

Addressing the departed leader directly, he added, “It is hard to fathom that you have departed from us so soon, Damilola. May your soul attain eternal peace.” He assured the grieving family and associates that the thoughts and prayers of the entire NYCN Ekiti are with them during this “profoundly arduous time.”

He concluded with a solemn plea: “May the Almighty grant us all solace, and may the specter of sudden and untimely death never again cast its shadow over Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole.” He offered a final, personal tribute: “Damilola, may you continue to dwell in the hearts of your God. Your footsteps are etched in stone; forever shall you be remembered. Adieu, DAMILOLA AGBAJE!!!”

The NYCN Ekiti leadership, under Bankole, stands in solidarity with all affected as Ekiti State grapples with the loss of one of its bright young stars in public service.
