The Ekiti State Technical Advisor Youth Inclusion, Hon. Ayo Ojo, on Saturday personally funded and led a high-profile tour of the state’s tourism landmarks over the weekend, aiming to position Ikogosi Warm Springs and Atlas Hotel & Gardens as catalysts for economic growth.

The initiative, driven solely by Ojo’s office, brought African weightlifting champion Kayode Atobiloye (aka Kevin Power) to the region. The Ragnok Pro-Athlete gold medalist praised the sites as “untapped treasures” after experiencing their unique offerings firsthand.

At Ikogosi, where warm and cold springs merge, Atobiloye expressed awe noting that it is a natural miracle.

Managing Director Ikogosi Warm Springs Chief Ayo Ademiluyi who took the team round the sites major spots gave detailed history behind the site and urged members of the public both within and outside the country to avail themselves of the therapeutic potential of the natural spring.

The Ragnok Pro-Athlete weightlifting African champion assured that he will bring friends and colleagues to also experience first hand the wonder site stressing that it’s a place every Nigerian should see.
Hon. Ojo emphasized the tour’s goal: “We’re proving Ekiti isn’t just a ‘land of scholars’ but a hub for tourism revenue. My office invested in this to inspire youth and investors.”

The delegation later dined at Ado Ekiti’s Atlas Hotel & Gardens, where owner Kola Igandon rolled out a star-studded reception. Atobiloye enjoyed grilled goat meat (Alake), catfish, and premium drinks amid live music and hype-man tributes to his “Kevin Power” legacy.

Igandon stated: “Ekiti’s hospitality can compete globally. We’re ready to welcome the world.”
The delegation were taken round the facility by the Manager Dayo who noted that a night spent at the resort is always a delight.
Hon. Ojo, whose office covered all logistics, stressed that Ekiti’s natural and recreational assets could reduce youth unemployment if marketed aggressively. “This isn’t just about scenery – it’s about jobs and pride in our state,” he added.
By bankrolling the tour, Hon. Ojo has amplified calls for private-sector partnerships to develop Ekiti’s tourism sector. With athletes like Atobiloye now serving as unofficial ambassadors, the state’s potential as a destination hotspot gains momentum.
