African Weightlifting Champion Joins Ekiti Youth Drive, Vows to Lend Star Power

Ekiti State’s youth development efforts gained star power on Wednesday when the TA Youth Inclusion Office, led by Hon. Ayo Ojo, welcomed an unusual ambassador – African weightlifting champion and Nollywood actor Kayode Tobiloye.


Tobiloye brings a rare combination of sporting excellence and screen credibility to the youth inclusion initiative. The muscular athlete, who doubles as personal security to music star Kiss Daniel, gained cinematic fame for his portrayal of a rebellious slave who triumphs in a deadly competition but ended up being killed afterwards.

“My journey from the wrestling mat to movie sets shows what Ekiti youth can achieve,” Tobiloye told officials. “I’m ready to use both my sporting credentials and entertainment connections to open doors for our next generation.”

Hon. Ojo however hailed the champion’s decision to support state programs and called on other Ekiti youths celebrities scattered across the globe to give ear to the clarion call of giving back to their Alma mater -Ekiti state stressing the Ekiti State Governor’s readiness for healthy collaboration.

While expressing delight at the Ragnok champ,Hon.Ojo hinted that Kayode’s expertise would greatly be utilized in it’s upcoming “Ekiti Quest” and other programs.
“Kayode represents the new face of Ekiti excellence – someone who dominates multiple fields. His involvement will inspire our youth to pursue their dreams without limits.”
The partnership comes as Ekiti accelerates investments in youth development, including a new state-of-the-art sports complex. Tobiloye’s unique profile bridges two growing sectors where young Nigerians are making global impacts.
