The BAO AGENDA 2026 group continued its statewide tour on Sunday, storming all 11 wards of Ido Osi Local Government in a vibrant show of support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s re-election bid.

The atmosphere was electric as residents, brandishing banners with inscriptions like “BAO Till 2030” and “BAO-MCA for Second Term,” filled the streets with drumbeats and praise songs in local dialects. The overwhelming reception emphasized the people’s resolve to back the governor and his deputy for another term, citing his “human-centric” projects and community development initiatives.

From Usi to Ifisin, Orin- Ora, Ayetoro and Ifaki wards, the tour took on a carnival-like mood, with massive turnouts in every community visited. Party leaders, including the chief economic adviser to the Ekiti state government Sen.Olubunmi Adetumbi,the governor’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Adeniyi Adebayo, Commissioner for Education Dr.Kofoworola Aderiye and a host of other leaders amplified the momentum,with Chief of staff Hon.Adeniyi Adebayo donating fifty thousand naira (₦50,000) to each ward—doubling the group’s usual twenty-five (₦25,000 ) contribution and Hon.Sola Olaleye who also donated one hundred thousand naira(#100,000.00) to the two wards in Aiyetoro—further energising supporters.

The tour also turned to a fundraiser for the wards with notable leaders like Hon Yomi Ayorinde,Hon.Tunde Aladegbami from Ifaki and Hon Ogundaisi,Isokan LCDA Chairman who gave twenty thousand naira (#20,000.00k)to each wards.

 

Ido Osi Local Government Chairman, Hon. Bamidele Omoleye, left no room for doubt, declaring: “There is no vacancy at Oke Ayoba come 2026.”His sentiment was echoed by an APC chieftain and the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant SSA on Community Outreach, Hon. Adeola Ayodimeji, who described the upcoming primary as a “mere formality” given the governor’s widespread endorsement.

Ward leaders and residents pointed to Governor Oyebanji’s grassroots impact—renovated town halls, new farmstead openings, and other self-help projects—as key reasons for their unwavering support.”We know he can do more,” one community leader remarked,”which is why Ido Osi has only one agenda: BAO 2026!”

BAO Agenda 2026 Group State coordinator Hon.Moshood Lawal(Bamayi), a key figure in the tour, explained that the 177-ward campaign aims to solidify the governor’s sole candidacy ahead of the 2026 election while showcasing his achievements.”This is not just politics; it’s a movement,” he stated.

As the entourage—including Secretary-General Hon. Olufemi Aduloju Oja I, Treasurer Are Ebenezer Adebusuyi,PRO/Media Ms Yewande Aribasoye, and Women leader Coordinator of the group Hon. Bukola Jegede—moves to the next local government, one message rings clear: in Ekiti, the BAO wave is unstoppable.
