
In a move aimed at grassroots support and to reward party loyalty, Hon. Ebenezer Adebusuyi, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Internal Relations to the Ekiti State Governor,on Sunday distributed cash gifts totaling over ₦500,000 to elderly citizens and devoted party elders in Erinjiyan Ekiti’s wards 4 and 5.

The initiative, which saw 100 elderly beneficiaries receive ₦5,000 each, also included an additional ₦10,000 for 15 long-standing party members in recognition of their dedication to the party.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Adebusuyi emphasized that such gestures should not be reserved for election periods alone but should serve as consistent dividends of democracy.

“I’ve done this numerous times, and today I’m doing it again to complement the giant strides of the governor and other leaders in my constituency,”he said.
“We should not wait until election periods before remembering our people. This is about bringing real benefits to the grassroots.”

The breakdown of the disbursements included 30 individuals received ₦5,000 each in his ward and 20 others who were also granted ₦5,000 per person.17 dedicated party elders also were given ₦10,000 each.

Similarly, the erection of a gigantic billboard strategically positioned at the entry point into the community by hon.Adebusuyi further shows his unflinching support for the governor in his constituency.
Hon.Adebusuyi described the empowerment as a token of appreciation for the community’s support while aligning with the state government’s broader development agenda.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude, describing the gesture as a timely relief amid economic challenges.While others praised the governor’s policies and Hon. Adebusuyi’s commitment to grassroots welfare.
