BAO Agenda 2026 Tour Gains Momentum in Gbonyi LG, Showcases Governor Oyebanji’s Rural Development Projects

Ward Visits Highlight Infrastructure, Empowerment, Unbiased Governance as Residents Hail Oyebanji’s Commitment

The BAO Agenda 2026 group, on sunday continuing its tour of all 177 wards in Ekiti State, visited eight wards in Gbonyi Local Government, engaging with communities and highlighting Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s developmental strides.

The delegation, led by Secretary-General Hon. Olufemi Aduloju (Oja I), included Treasurer Are Ebenezer Adebusuyi, Women Leader Hon. Bukola Jegede, Security Director Hon. Ojo Dabi, and Public Relations Officer Ms. Yewande Aribasoye one after another called for the support for the governor for second term.
At each ward visited they harped on Continuity as a catalyst for development giving Lagos state as a model.

A CROSS SECTION OF SOME OF THE WARDS MEMBERS DURING THE VISIT

The team explained that the tour became necessary to act as a buildup to the 2026 gubanatorial election coming up in the state.

Residents across the wards visited lauded the governor for numerous completed projects, including Renovation of the Oba’s Palace and a Town hall, Restoration of Gbonyi LG to the National Grid,Donation of transformers to Iluomoba and other communities,Support for Cassava flakes (Garri) traders, Empowerment Programs for Women, Youths, and the Aged and more.

These initiatives, executed through the self help community projects program of the governor domiciled at Ministry of Rural and Community Development, were described as evidence of Governor Oyebanji’s “sincere and unbiased governance.”

At Ward 10 (Ijan Ekiti), APC Ward Chairman Hon. Okunola Idowu Titus and BAO Agenda Coordinator Hon. Dare Ojo commended the governor for his grassroots impact. Similarly, in Ward 9 (Iluomoba), Coordinator Oguntomilola Abiodun praised the administration’s responsiveness to local needs.

Notably, residents also acknowledged Governor Oyebanji’s loyalty to the late APC Chairman, Barrister Paul Ayodele Omotosho, by fulfilling promises to his family and community nearly two years after his passing.

The tour also covered Wards 1 to 3 in Ode Ekiti, where beneficiaries of political appointments, teachers’ welfare schemes, and empowerment programs shared their gratitude.

With stops in Agbado Ward 6 and Aisegba Wards 1 and 2, the BAO Agenda team reinforced its message of inclusive governance, urging continued support for the Oyebanji administration ahead of 2026.

The group is set to continue its ward-by-ward engagement, amplifying grassroots achievements and gathering feedback for future policies.
