In a bold move to solidify support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) of Ekiti State, ArkofBAO has on Thursday officially endorsed him for a second term in office. The group also called on its members, from ward coordinators to state executives, to begin widespread sensitization campaigns to rally support for the governor ahead of the upcoming elections.

In a statement signed by Diran Fadipe, the State Coordinator of ArkofBAO in Ekiti State, the group praised Governor BAO for fulfilling key promises made during his 2022 election campaign. The statement highlighted nine major achievements of the administration, including:
Massive Infrastructure Development: Significant improvements in roads, bridges, and public facilities across the state.
Education Reforms: Enhanced access to quality education and support for schools.
Healthcare Delivery: Upgraded health facilities and services for residents.
Agriculture and Food Production: Boosted agricultural output and support for farmers.
Electricity for All:Expanded access to reliable power supply.
Support for the Informal Sector:Empowerment programmes for small businesses and traders.
Completion of Inherited Projects: Continuation and completion of projects initiated by previous administrations.
Respect for the Rule of Law: Upholding justice and fairness in governance.
Security of Life and Properties: Improved safety and reduced crime rates.
The statement emphasised that the BAO administration has “left no stone unturned” in its efforts to improve the lives of Ekiti residents. It also issued a stern warning to potential challengers, urging them to “shelve such ambitions” as the group believes no opposition candidate stands a chance against the governor’s proven track record.
ArkofBAO similarly directed its coordinators to immediately begin mobilising support at the unit, ward, and local government levels by enumerating the governor’s achievements.
The group also reiterated its commitment to inclusivity, stating that its doors remain open to all without discrimination.
The statement concluded with a rallying cry: “BAO jooo, BAO jareee,” a popular slogan among supporters, signalling unwavering confidence in the governor’s leadership.
