Greenlock FC cemented their status as Abuja’s rising football force on Sunday securing a historic 3-1 victory over Bolapro Sporting in a pulsating Evolution Cup final at Bwari Township Stadium. The triumph caps a dominant campaign for the club, who showcased tactical brilliance and teamwork to claim the Pan-African invitational trophy.
In front of a roaring Abuja crowd, Greenlock delivered a masterclass in composure and attacking flair. After topping their group unbeaten, the squad carried their momentum into the final, outclassing opponents with goals from midfield talisman Damilola Adeyeye, striker Praise Adebisi, and creative linchpin Kehinde Oni. Bolapro Sporting fought valiantly but were ultimately overpowered by Greenlock’s relentless pressure and clinical finishing.
Greenlock’s path to glory began in Group B, where they amassed 10 points from four matches—the highest tally in the tournament. Their campaign featured three wins and a draw, with a joint-tournament-best seven goals scored and a rock-solid defense led by stalwarts Shallom Abah and Michael Onigbinde.

Praise Adebisi: The tournament’s top scorer netted four goals and provided one assist, earning plaudits for his lethal finishing.

-Damilola Adeyeye: The midfield maestro contributed three goals, one assist, and two Player of the Match awards, dictating play with precision.

-Kehinde Oni: A creative force, Oni notched one goal and three assists, including a decisive contribution in the final.

Central to Greenlock’s success was their impervious backline. The duo of Abah and Onigbinde conceded just four goals across the tournament, combining aerial dominance with pinpoint distribution to launch attacks.
The win marks a watershed moment for football in Nigeria’s capital. Fans flooded the streets of Abuja after the final whistle, celebrating a team that has redefined local pride with pan-African ambition.
