Governor Oyebanji’s Project Tour Turns into Festive Celebration

As Community Residents Hail Development Efforts

What began as a routine inspection of ongoing projects in Ekiti State quickly transformed into a vibrant carnival of gratitude and celebration. Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s tour of key infrastructure developments across the state was met with an outpouring of joy from community leaders, women’s groups, youths, and elders. The air was filled with the popular refrain, *“BAO a S’elerekeji loju Emi mi”* (BAO is doing it again in my lifetime), as residents expressed their appreciation for the governor’s commitment to improving their lives. The festive atmosphere began in Are Ekiti, where Governor Oyebanji kicked off his tour with an inspection of the Are-Oye Road project. The excitement continued at subsequent stops, including the Itapa-Ilupeju General Hospital, the Ilupeju-Igbo Egan-Ayede Road project, the Iye-Olopomeji-Ikun Road project, and the Ifaki General Hospital. Each location buzzed with energy as residents turned out in large numbers to celebrate the governor’s efforts to bring development to their communities.

Among the highlights of the tour were the newly renovated Itapa-Ilupeju and Aye-Ifaki General Hospitals, two of four healthcare facilities upgraded with state-of-the-art equipment. These hospitals are expected to significantly improve healthcare access and quality for residents, addressing long-standing challenges in the region. The governor’s focus on critical infrastructure, including roads and healthcare, has been widely praised as a testament to his administration’s dedication to sustainable development.
