At a roundtable meeting held on Monday with representatives of various artisans’ associations, Oni emphasized the importance of working with local talent to fulfill Governor Oyebanji’s vision for effective asset management.

“We believe Ekiti’s skilled artisans are critical to ensuring that the wealth generated in the state remains here. By collaborating with them, we are not just preserving our assets but also creating more opportunities for our people,” Oni said.

The bureau revealed plans to engage skilled artisans through their associations, ensuring transparency and accountability in asset management. These artisans will be involved on a part-time basis, creating a system that values their expertise while ensuring high standards.

Also present at the meeting was Pastor Biyi Fashoyin, the Technical Advisor to the Governor on Change Management from OTSD, who highlighted the state’s dedication to inclusive governance.

A shareholders’ engagement workshop is also in the pipeline to bring together stakeholders and outline further strategies for managing state assets effectively.

This initiative aligns with broader government efforts to drive development across various sectors. Recently, a 21- Member inter-ministerial committee was inaugurated to tackle water resources management, reflecting the administration’s commitment to holistic growth.

The Bureau of Asset Management’s approach showcases Governor Oyebanji’s dedication to harnessing local skills and preserving state assets as a foundation for economic progress.
