It was a colorful and joyous gathering as women from the 12 Provinces and the Headquarters of Region 25 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Ado Ekiti came together on Saturday at the Life Fountain Cathedral, Ado Ekiti for this year’s *Adoration Weekend* celebration.
Themed “Good News,” the annual event provided an opportunity for thanksgiving, prayers, and renewed blessings for the new year.
The church auditorium was transformed into a vibrant display of colors, as women adorned in beautiful attires filled the venue with joy and enthusiasm. The atmosphere reached a carnival-like mood during the thanksgiving session, where province after province danced to the altar with unspeakable joy. The women’s choir set the tone with soul-stirring choruses, keeping the entire congregation energized.
Although the event focused on the women, men, including pastors and elders, joined in the celebration, adding their voices and dance steps to the atmosphere of gratitude.
In his congratulatory message, the Pastor-in-Charge of Region 25, Pastor Tunde Abdullahi, described the theme “Good News” as timely and inspired by the Holy Spirit. He noted that in a world filled with economic hardships, insecurity, and violence, there is still good news for those connected to Jesus Christ.
“Good news is available for all who stay rooted in Christ,” Pastor Abdulahi assured, praying that the celebration ushers in unparalleled blessings for all participants.
Pastor Mrs. Esther Abdulahi, wife of the Regional Pastor and leader of the women, welcomed attendees with a message centered on Isaiah 61:1. She reminded the women that the Good News is the message of salvation, hope, and eternal life through Christ.
“The Good News transforms lives, turning sorrow into joy and lifting believers out of despair,” she said, urging the women to embrace the message and let it empower their faith journey.
Participants, including members of the congregation interviewed by JIROLTV, commended the impressive turnout and the enthusiasm displayed by all. They expressed excitement for an even more robust celebration in 2026, promising to keep spreading the Good News until Christ’s return.
The event also featured thrilling presentations by the Good Women Groups that delivered powerful and soul-lifting songs. A drama piece on the theme “Good News” captivated the audience, further emphasizing the transformative power of Christ’s message.
The celebration concluded with the cutting of the anniversary cake and a benediction, as participants looked forward to an even bigger gathering next year. Pastor Abdullahi expressed hope that the 2026 celebration would take place with many more testimonies of God’s faithfulness, with all women and their families in good health to celebrate God’s goodness.
