The newly appointed Special Adviser to the Independent Project Monitoring Office (IPMO) in Ekiti State, Prince Adewole Oluseun Ajakiaye, has pledged to uphold strict standards in the execution of capital projects across the state.
In his first meeting with IPMO staff on Tuesday, Ajakiaye reviewed the office’s operations and introduced fresh strategies aimed at ensuring all state projects meet high-quality standards.
Ajakiaye, who took over the role following a cabinet reshuffle by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, expressed his determination to improve the efficiency of project monitoring through advanced technology. He commended his predecessor, Hon Olufemi Ajayi, for laying a solid foundation and urged staff to support his vision.
“The work of IPMO is critical to ensuring that funds allocated to projects translate into tangible benefits for the people of Ekiti State. We will intensify our monitoring efforts to ensure no room for substandard projects,” Ajakiaye said.
The Secretary of the Office, Mr Segun Adebayo, assured the new Special Adviser of the staff’s full cooperation. He reiterated their dedication to upholding the values of accountability and transparency in project implementation.
Senior officials, including Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants within the IPMO, also shared their insights on enhancing the office’s operations.
The meeting ended with a collective resolve to deliver on the shared prosperity agenda of Governor Oyebanji’s administration, ensuring every project aligns with the vision of sustainable development in Ekiti State.
