Ekiti Catfish Sellers Honor Commissioner for Transformative Leadership
... Otunba Kayode Fasae Recognized for Supporting MSMEs

In a gesture of gratitude, the Ekiti State Catfish Sellers Association has honored Otunba Kayode Fasae, Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, for his exceptional leadership and unwavering support for their growth.

The award was presented during a well-organized event, led by the association’s chairman, Mr. Atewologun Samuel, and coordinated by the award planning committee chaired by Adedipe Rotimi. The recognition underscores the commissioner’s pivotal role in empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the state.

Otunba Fasae, celebrated for his hands-on approach to wealth creation, reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with the association to strengthen their businesses. His efforts are part of a broader agenda driven by Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration to foster economic growth and create employment opportunities in Ekiti State.
Among these initiatives is the Ekiti State-Wema Bank MSME Empowerment Program, aimed at training and empowering 100,000 MSMEs. The administration has also launched a N250 million startup loan under the Ekiti State Employment Trust Fund (ETF) to boost small businesses.
The commissioner’s dedication extends beyond policy; his recent advocacy visits to the State Council of Traditional Rulers highlight his commitment to rallying support for MSMEs. “We are building a foundation where every entrepreneur in Ekiti State can thrive,” Otunba Fasae said at the event.
The award symbolizes the tangible results of collaborative governance and the commissioner’s relentless drive to uplift local businesses. As Ekiti’s catfish sellers and other entrepreneurs continue to benefit from targeted programs, the state moves closer to realizing its shared prosperity vision.
With leaders like Otunba Kayode Fasae championing their cause, the future of Ekiti’s MSMEs shines brighter than ever.
