In a pivotal meeting on Tuesday held in Abuja, the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment, pledging to assist at least 2,000 Ekiti State youths over the next three months.

The meeting featured Ekiti State Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Otunba Kayode Fasae, and NDE Director General, Dr. Silas Agara. This collaboration underscores the strong rapport between Ekiti State and the NDE, championed by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s proactive leadership.

Ekiti State is set to benefit significantly from NDE’s extensive training programs, available across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas. These initiatives aim to equip participants with critical skills to thrive in the competitive job market, empowering Ekiti’s youth to embrace emerging opportunities.

In a forward-looking move, Ekiti has been selected as one of 12 pilot states for NDE’s upcoming initiatives next year. These programs align with Governor Oyebanji’s vision of fostering employment and entrepreneurship, placing Ekiti at the forefront of Nigeria’s economic development.
