Interacting with the children, Aduloju encouraged them to rise above the challenges of being parentless, urging them to focus on the opportunities available to build a brighter future. Reflecting on his own life, he shared how he faced orphan-like circumstances after leaving his comfortable life in Ibadan to start anew in Ado Ekiti without a clear plan. Fifty years later, he said, he has become someone others look up to, proving that resilience and determination can lead to success.

Aduloju emphasized that his gesture mirrors the leadership style of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, who has consistently marked his birthdays by celebrating with students in special schools and supporting people with disabilities (PWDs).

He highlighted the governor’s achievements in the sector, including the refurbishment of buses for mobility, infrastructural upgrades in special schools, recruitment and training of specialized teachers, and employing therapists to cater to children with critical needs. Aduloju also pointed to the establishment of a special center for PWDs in Ado Ekiti, achieved through a public-private partnership.

Further lauding Oyebanji’s administration, Aduloju noted its commitment to education through initiatives like teacher recruitment, prompt salary payments, free education in public schools, school feeding programs, and the provision of free shuttle buses. He described the governor as a grassroots leader who consistently works to improve the lives of the people.

Mrs. Akinwale Adenike, the coordinator of the Transit Home, expressed gratitude to Aduloju for his timely support, especially as the festive season approaches. She described the visit as a demonstration of love and care and called on other individuals, groups, and organizations to emulate Aduloju’s example.

The event concluded with a group photograph featuring the staff of the orphanage, members of Iyaniwura Society, Aduloju’s wife, and family members.

Aduloju’s visit leaves a lasting impression, reflecting his commitment to community inclusion and inspired leadership.
